We believe that repeated, destructive behavior is caused by addiction. Addictions can strip you of your sense of self, isolate you from family and friends, hinder your career success, and damage your health. We know that your addiction is serving an important purpose in your life, and we will help you find a new system to live your life that will allow you to heal.
We have experience working with individuals recovering from drug and alcohol addictions, eating disorders, and self-harm. We help you to stay on track to recovery by giving you tools and plans of action to improve your day to day life, while delving into the underlying causes of the addiction. Focusing on the present and learning how to set small goals helps our clients move forward and take control of their lives. Understanding past pains and the impact they have had helps identify how an addiction acts as a coping mechanism, and how to replace the addictive behavior with a healthier lifestyle. We believe recovery is a process. We provide individual therapy, and we encourage our clients to find a community of support through OA, NA or AA as well. Building a support network of people who understand are crucial to the recovery process.
It is always difficult to give up something that makes you feel safe. Addictions can give a person a false sense of security. They can help get you through the day. It might be hard to imagine living without your addiction at this point, but we know you can.Schedule an Appointment
